Diablo Immortal players, get ready to indulge in a brand new event that brings Diablo 4’s elements to your screens! Blizzard has announced a crossover themed event called Merciless Monstrosity that will be rolled out in June 2023, to celebrate the one year anniversary of Diablo Immortal.
The event will add a new zone, class, as well as exciting quests and flashy cosmetics. “The creation of Sanctuary by Inarius and Lilith is a storied tale; its impact can still be felt today,” Blizzard teases. “The Merciless Monstrosity event, Children of Lilith Battle Pass, and Hatred’s Heritage Phantom Market will be experienceable expressions of Sanctuary’s matriarch. Your opportunity to let sin flow freely will arrive in early June.”
While no detailed information has been released about the new class, Blizzard hints that it will breathe new life into the Diablo universe and will favour a mid-range playing style with a classic weapon type.
Post-launch, Blizzard has plans to keep the Diablo 4 experience exciting for players with a quarterly schedule for new seasons, battle passes, legendary items, and class balance changes. To participate in Season 1, launching in mid to late July, players must complete the campaign. Season 1’s battle pass will contain objectives, and completing them will earn players seasonal rewards such as crafting materials and legendary aspects for their Codex of Power.
Additionally, Blizzard has recently implemented accessibility features to ensure that players with certain disabilities can enjoy the forthcoming Diablo 4 fully.
