Blizzard Entertainment’s highly anticipated game, Diablo IV, is set to offer its players an extensive battle pass with roughly 80 hours of extra content, according to associate game director Joe Piepiora. Players can earn favor by completing seasonal objectives, quests, and slaying monsters, which will fill their battle pass progress bar. The game will have both free and premium/paid variants. Piepiora also noted that the game’s seasons will function similarly to Diablo III, so players can expect a familiar format. When considering completing the season journey alongside other content in the game, players will need to invest roughly 80 hours to complete the entirety of the battle pass. However, reaching Diablo IV’s level cap of 100 will take a bit longer than that, depending on how one plays.

In addition to the battle pass, Diablo IV will be introducing new story content every three months as part of its seasons. While it is unclear if this new story content will become a permanent part of the game, large-scale updates like expansions are already being considered since they would be “persistent and available for all players at all times.”

Players can also look forward to a “server slam” open beta for Diablo IV this month, announced recently. Niche Gamer and Nicchiban owner and publisher, Brandon Orselli, is excited for the game’s launch on June 6th, 2023, which will be available across Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5. Make sure to check the Diablo IV global launch times guide to stay updated. With this extensive post-launch support for Diablo IV, it seems Blizzard Entertainment’s newest addition to the Diablo series will keep players plenty occupied.
