Diablo IV Gets Terrifying Live-Action Trailer Directed by Chloé Zhao (EXCLUSIVE)
Blizzard Entertainment recently unveiled a brand new live-action trailer for the much anticipated Diablo IV video game. The trailer, entitled “Saviors Wanted” is directed and co-directed by Chloé Zhao and Kiku Ohe, respectively, and showcases the ominous and cinematic essence of Diablo’s world, with its conflicts, fears and destruction.
“Saviors Wanted” takes viewers into the dark world of Sanctuary, a land that’s infested by monstrous creatures. The inhabitants of Sanctuary appear in the trailer, giving bone-chilling pleas directly to the camera, begging audiences for help against the destruction threatened by Lilith, the Blessed Mother determined to rule the land once more. Blizzard Entertainment worked alongside Zhao and Ohe to bring out the imaginative and thrilling world of Diablo IV to life.
In the promotional film, code named “Saviors Wanted”, Blizzard oscillates through various scenes as the characters are faced with unbearable circumstances. The story interweaves emotion, humanity and suspense into its characters, taking viewers on a journey of unending destruction. Following two decades of Diablo’s existence, the fans are passionate about the new release and Blizzard aimed to evoke strong emotions with the players as they immerse themselves into the game’s world.
Zhao expressed her excitement about working alongside Blizzard and bringing the game’s rich lores and visceral world-building to life. Diablo IV will be played on cross-platforms including Windows® PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4. Couch co-op will also be available on consoles at launch.
