Gameloft Montreal, the developer, has released a trailer, providing a sneak peek at the upcoming The Lion King content that will be added to Disney Dreamlight Valley in April. This video offers a glimpse at the new locations and figures going live when the realm update goes live in a couple of months.
Players can take an exciting journey to the magical Dreamlight Valley where Disney and Pixar characters live on September 6, 2022 by downloading the life sim adventure game, reminiscent of Animal Crossing. They can explore the world, customize their houses, and become friends with numerous Comic Strip characters while they keep away the Night Thorns. The game contains 20 Disney characters from a variety of franchises and developers are continuously introducing new personalities via updates.
A preview of the upcoming game’s Realm Update in April showed two of the five Disney characters revealed in the game: Simba and Nala from The Lion King. Viewers of the Nintendo Direct livestream were given a brief look of the new biome. Additionally, Scar has already joined the game in Disney Dreamlight Valley and Timone and Pumba were featured in the game’s original trailer.
The newly released preview is only 23 seconds in total, with the new segment launching after only 7 seconds. The trailer displays Simba and Nala meeting up with a game user while visiting the new area, as they partake in eating bugs. Unfortunately, Nala and the character come across a group of mysterious figures with lit-up eyes. Nonetheless, there is still enough time to take pictures with Nala and Simba at the lake and encourage them back to the village.
The upcoming patch doesn’t list a precise launch date, but at least there is the February update of Disney Dreamlight Valley to look forward to before that. Unfortunately, there’s no indication of Timone and Pumba appearing in the new teaser. While the four characters might be released soon, it might take a while before Timone and Pumba make their way to Disney Dreamlight Valley.
The majority of reactions to the new teaser for Disney Dreamlight Valley had a positive response. Many people noted how charming Nala and Simba were together, while others looked forward to how Scar will interact with them. There were also many viewers that are hoping more Lion King characters will be featured in the game, while the rest were overall thrilled to see Nala and Simba as part of Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Disney Dreamlight Valley is ready to play on PC, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and the Xbox Series X/S.
