Desmond Wong, designer and artist at The Gentlebros, announced the latest installment in the popular Cat Quest series – Cat Quest: Pirates of the Purribean. The new game will be available for PS5 and PS4 consoles next year.
The Gentlebros have worked hard to bring Cat Quest to the next level and adding a pirate theme has made the game even more exciting. The new game includes sailing, a new combat system, and a new world and story that can be explored freely. The pirates theme was chosen because pirates are explorers, and the new world has been designed to be fully explorable, on land and at sea. The story will adapt to the player’s actions, and the lush biomes from the different forms of land in the Purribean are sure to be exciting for players.
Cat Quest: Pirates of the Purribean will have a new feature that has not been present in earlier Cat Quest games. Players will be able to sail their own pirate ship, which can fire cannonballs and shoot special elemental shells against enemies. The ship is very responsive and easy to control. The transition from a ship at sea to a cat on land is completely seamless, and players can sail towards any shore.
The game will include many new weapons, spells, and costumes for players to try out. There is also a new gun type weapon called the blunderpuss. Players can even start a combo on an enemy on land from their ship’s cannon and then dock and finish the combo with their weapons on land. The improved combat system also includes a new weapon swapping mechanic, which enables players to switch weapons on the fly and create amazing combos.
Cat Quest: Pirates of the Purribean can be played solo or with a friend in local co-op. Players are invited to prepare to be whisked away when the new game docks on PS5 and PS4 consoles in 2024.
