Third-person shooter and survival horror game Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle is set to release on August 30 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. The game is a prequel to the 2019 game Daymare: 1998 and is published by Leonardo Interactive and developed by Invader Studios. There will be a later release for Nintendo Switch. A PC demo for the game will be available to play on May 11. “The worthy heir to the first chapter is coming, and we can’t wait to show you the clear improvements,” says Leonardo Interactive founder, Leonardo Caltagirone.
Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle places players in the shoes of special agent Dalila Reyes, a former government spy now working with the H.A.D.E.S unit. Reyes’ mission appears simple: infiltrate the advanced experimental research facility in the United States. However, danger lurks in every corner, and the mission may not be as simple as it initially seems.
Players can try out the game mechanics and graphics, as well as the combat model, by entering the Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle demo. The demo enables players to experience the first steps of the game as well as having a detailed look at the in-game weapons, including the liquid nitrogen-enhanced Frost Grip. Players are allowed to provide feedback and suggestions to the developers, which will be considered for the final version of the game.
In an effort to meet the high expectations of the community and fans of the franchise, Leonardo Interactive has decided to push the final release of the game to August for some final fine-tuning. “We’re excited to be so near completing the years-long work,” says Leonardo Caltagirone, founder of Leonardo Interactive. PlayStation and Xbox console owners can be excited to add Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle to their library, while PC gamers can look forward to trying out the demo on May 11. Stay tuned for the upcoming release and experience the story-driven horror game in all its glory.
