Bushiroad Games and Kaminari Games have made an exciting announcement that will get gamers’ hearts racing! MACROSS Shooting Insight will now be available on PlayStation 5, which will join the game’s already available PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC versions in Japan in 2023.
The game is a shoot ‘em up classic that follows the story of Maximilian Jenius, the captain of the Macross 7 fleet. After a mysterious encounter, Jenius awakens to find his ship Battle 7 has been struck by an enormous object, and the rest of the fleet has disappeared. All he sees are other unfamiliar vessels with equally unusual weaponry. An even more fantastic discovery awaits him during his investigation, however.
Jenius meets five “songstresses” who have disappeared, including Sara Nome, the Mayan priestess, Myung Fang Lone, producer of Sharon Apple, the galaxy’s most popular virtual idol, Mylene Flare Jenius, member of the rock band Fire Bomber, Sheryl Nome, the Galactic Fairy, and Ranka Lee, the Super Dimensional Cinderella. Two more characters, Freyja Wion and Mikumo Guynemer, who belong to the Tactical Sound Unit Walkure, also disappear. Jenius and a team of ace pilots – Shin Kudo, Isamu Dyson, Gamlin Kizaki, Alto Saotome, and Hayate Immelmann – team up to rescue these songstresses from different parts of the galaxy.
