Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has announced an impressive PlayStation Showcase featuring game reveals and a glimpse at Project Q, a dedicated device that allows gamers to play games using Remote Play over Wi-Fi. Project Q has an 8-inch LCD screen capable of delivering up to 1080p resolution at a smooth 60fps. With the device, players can enjoy crisp and vivid visuals streamed from their PS5 when away from their TV. The DualSense wireless controller buttons and features – including adaptive triggers and haptic feedback – are integrated into the device, ensuring seamless gameplay.

In addition, SIE is bringing out its first official wireless earbuds, providing an immersive audio experience for gamers playing both on PC and PS5. The earbuds have been developed using new wireless technology by SIE, enabling players to experience lossless audio with minimal latency for an enhanced and realistic audio experience.

The Showcase presented a wide array of upcoming PlayStation 5 and PC titles that confirmed the breadth and quality of SIE’s catalog, as well as paying tribute to the rich history of gaming. Iconic game franchises like Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, and sequels to fan favorites including Dragon’s Dogma, Alan Wake, and Arizona Sunshine were announced during the event. In addition, PlayStation Studios unveiled 3 new multiplayer projects: Concord from Firewalk Studios, Fairgame$ from Haven Studios, and Helldivers 2 from Arrowhead Game Studios.

Major third-party publishers such as Capcom, EA, Konami, and Square Enix, among others, revealed exciting updates and releases for the future. Meanwhile, indie developers, including Dreamlit Games, Devolver Digital, Giant Squid, Kepler Interactive, and so many others, also delighted fans with their contributions.

The Showcase ended on a high note with a preview of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 by Insomniac Games, scheduled for release in the fall of this year. The highly-anticipated action blockbuster showcased the game’s more detailed environments and the unique skills players can master while facing off against exciting new villains like Kraven the Hunter and Lizard.
