If you’ve been eagerly anticipating the opportunity to traverse a realm of sand and dust with fellow adventurers in Deck13’s latest release, Atlas Fallen, you’ll soon be able to do so, as Focus Entertainment has revealed that the game’s launch date is set for May 16th.
Originally revealed during last year’s Gamescom Opening Night Live showcase, Atlas Fallen has piqued the curiosity of many with its unconventional movement mechanics that enable you to traverse the captivating sands of the game’s desert-like landscape. Its alluring visuals are also a contributing factor to its next-gen exclusivity.
Granted, it’s not exactly the peaceful sand-skiing experience of something akin to Journey – you’ll be manipulating the sand to craft arms to vanquish colossal creatures in an attempt to dethrone a malevolent god. Atlas Fallen may not be a live service game, but you can still take on the expedition alone, or with a friend for some classic cooperative monster slaying.
In our hands-off preview last year, we were quite taken aback by Atlas Fallen’s trajectory, remarking, “Atlas Fallen evinces a mélange of Monster Hunter, Control, and the Horizon franchise, interspersed with some captivating novelties of its own.”
Marking the 16th of May as a momentous occasion, Atlas Fallen debuts its galactic debut on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC. A bold new venture into the future of gaming, the world awaits with bated breath as the launch of this title promises to revolutionize the industry. With its unique blend of engaging gameplay and cutting-edge graphics, Atlas Fallen is sure to be a smash hit.
